Do You Really Trust Me to Protect You? Or Do You Trust in Yourself?

 3-16 and 3-17-17

The Lord spoke these words to me during my early morning prayer time."Children please listen to this warning!
When it comes right down to where the rubber meets the road do you trust me to protect you?
I tell you the rubber will meet the road very soon and you and I will know what is in your heart.
Many of you know Psalm 91 by heart and can recite it on command.
I tell you, living it is much harder than memorizing it.
Verses one and two of psalm 91 are this "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”
Are you dwelling in the secret place of the most high?
Are you so close to Me that you are underneath My shadow?
Am I truly your refuge and fortress or do you trust in the arm of the flesh to protect you?

Verses three through eight
:
It says this is what I will do for those who are very close to me,
" He shall cover you with His feathers,And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler."
I will be your defense if you let Me!
But do you defend yourself?

Here is what I will defend you from
:
traps, disease, terror by night, arrows, and in this day bullets that fly by day, pestilence and destruction, "A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look,
And see the reward of the wicked." Does this mean you are to slay a thousand or ten thousand or is it I who protects? Do you want Me to be your refuge or do you rely on yourself?
Who do you suppose will do a better job?
How much do you really trust Me then?
I tell you to heed this, "Whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it." (Mark 8:35)
When I was in the garden and the men came to take Me did I not say, "Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?" (Matt 26:52-53) Do you not think that you cannot pray for 12 legions of angels to protect you also?
I said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”
(John 18:36)
Ask yourself child; where is your kingdom? If it is heaven
.

D
o not be afraid!

If your kingdom is here on earth be very afraid because it will ALL BE DESTROYED!
"Let anyone who has an ear listen: If you are to be taken captive, into captivity you go; if you kill with the sword, with the sword you must be killed. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints." (Rev 13:9-10)
If you live by killing another you shall die in that same way.
Does this not apply to guns and firearms and weapons of all sorts?
I tell you the enemies that will come against you will have weapons far superior to yours.
What will you do then? Will you take as many out as you can before you die as well?
Where did I tell My followers to do that?
Do not twist My scriptures to say things that it doesn't to justify your flesh.
Your trust must in Me your strength and deliverer!

Persecution is coming upon all of that resembles Godliness even if it truly is not of Me.
You have seen this happen in other countries but it will be upon your own soil.
I ask you do you see any of My saints from the middle east or Africa or even China or any of the saints of old, defending themselves with earthly weapons. They were glad to give their lives for Me! They have great eternal rewards! As Stephen gave his life and felt no pain as he was stoned so is it for all those who are asked to be a martyr.
Are you better than them? But yet I say, "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36)

I AM the protector of the weak and innocent! All of your little ones are in My hands!
Do you not consider that the reason I allow the little ones to be taken, is so that I can have a harvest of souls? Those that destroy, offend and corrupt them though, will be judged VERY HARSHLY!
As I said before,"Whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea." ( Matt 18:6 )
You must understand that most of My judgment will be given out in the spiritual realm because I have ordained earth as a testing place not a final destination. The heavens and earth you now see will be rolled up like a scroll and cast in to the fire as will everything and everyone that sin has defiled.
Pray to Me every day to have a hedge of protection over yourself and your loved ones and everything in your household. Pray for a wall of Holy Spirit fire to encircle you. Pray for My angles to be there to protect you. Break every curse, and cancel every assignment, plot, plan or scheme of the enemy. Speak aloud, " No weapon formed against me shall prosper".
I will hear and I will act upon the faith that I see and hear.

You are not to take the life of one made in My image and if you do it is sin! I gave Moses the law and it says "You shall not kill". This is part of loving your neighbor as yourself and loving the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and strength.
I ask you, how can you love your neighbor as yourself while you are blowing his head off?
If you send a soul to hell, do you think their blood you not be on your hands?
Those that kill another will be cast into the great tribulation and even worse into hell
You are not the judge of men's hearts
,
 I AM!
Vengeance is Mine says the Lord, I WILL REPAY!
I AM A FIERCE WARRIOR!
NO ONE IS A MATCH FOR ME!
DO NOT TAKE WHAT IS MINE!
I warn all who would be My end time remnant, My bride, if you want My miraculous power to be used through you, you must let go of every earthly provision of the flesh. You must walk in the Spirit and fulfill the law of love by faith in Me and My word. You shall overcome Satan by My blood, for I AM the Lamb and the word of your testimony for you do not love your life on this earth and are not afraid to give it up.
You must surrender everything to Me your Lord and Savior,
Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus Christ.

Then I was impressed upon to give this teaching.

Do not twist the scriptures to say what you want them to say!

There are many who would hold Luke 22:36-38 up to say Jesus advocated use of the sword, " Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me:
'
And He was numbered with the transgressors.’(Isaiah 53:12) For the things concerning Me have an end.”So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.”

And He said to them, “It is enough.” We see that Jesus said to buy a sword to fulfill prophecy about Him. The disciples said they already had 2 swords and it was enough. As was before mentioned in Matt 26:52-53 and John 18:36
.
If Jesus wanted the disciples to fight for or even defend Him, would not each one of them have needed a sword? Jesus' kingdom is not of this world and the angels could have saved Him if he would have called upon them. Would that not be the case for us as well?

Many of you would point to the Old Testament scriptures where The Lord told Israel to go in and kill every man,

woman and child and destroy and burn everything. This is true, but do you know why the Lord would ask Israel to do such a thing?

The answer is there if
you
study closely, the ones the Lord wanted wiped out had angel and human DNA. They were giants, Nephilim, Rephaim, Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, Jebusites, Philistines etc.
. T
hey all were of a DNA mixture, angel and human, that was unredeemable, they could not be saved. The book that explains this best is Enoch. It is one of many books have been taken out of our modern bibles. The original 1611 King James Version of the bible had 82 books
.

W
hy do we only have 66 now? (topic for a different discussion!)

Enoch 15:7-12 explains, "7.And therefore I have not appointed wives for you; for as for the spiritual ones of the heaven, in heaven is their dwelling. 8. And now, the giants, who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. 9. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men, ⌈⌈and⌉⌉ from the holy Watchers

(a type of angel) is their beginning and primal origin; ⌈they shall be evil spirits on earth, and⌉ evil spirits shall they be called. [10. As for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.] 11. And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and work destruction on the earth, and cause trouble: they take no food, ⌈but nevertheless hunger⌉ and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women because they have proceeded ⌈from them⌉." When a giant dies his spirit becomes a demon or evil spirit. These demons have no body of their own and they go to neither heaven
n
or hell until the final judgment
.
Remember when Joshua sent out the spies and their report? Giants were in the land and they were not lying or exaggerating. One of the most famous bible stories of all time was of David who slew the giant Goliath. It is not a fable, it is truth.

Here are some more scriptures that layout way
s
 true Christians should conduct themselves:

(Rom 12:14-21)14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink;

For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matt 5:38-48

38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. 41 And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 42 Give to him who asks you, and from him who wants to borrow from you do not turn away.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Romans 13:1-14

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

Eph 6:12-18

We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

This is by no means an exhaustive list on this subject but I pray you receive the truth that lies within.

Love and Peace,

Jeffrey D. Byerly

  1. Amen! Praise the Lord. Exactly what the Holy Spirit has been showing me this past week. Our weapon is the Word of God (Sharper than a two edged Sword) that can slice and dice the Devil and his demons; not man made weapons. Loved this article and Psalm 91 has been one of the chapters I have been reading before bed each night. God Bless you in Jesus Name.

    1. Thank you Sherri,I hope many people read this word of teaching and change their ways.
So many Christian American men think they are going to protect themselves and families with early weapons when it needs to be with spiritual weapons.

    2. Amen! Me and my husband have never owned weapons. The Holy Spirit showed me that a long time ago; we should not arm our ourselves with guns and we must place all of our trust in the Lord. So glad you are sharing this information because there has been a lot of confusion coming from the enemy; influencing men (to leave God out of the equation) and buy guns for protection. Amen, Love and Peace. God will supply all of our needs and protect our family by speaking out loud the "Word" of God.

    3. I used to believe we were to protect with weapons if need be awhile back but now as the Holy Spirit has taught me is that our BEST AND FIERCEST WEAPON is the Word Of Yah (God). That is why the demons hate Ephesians 6:10-20 so much.
It is really going to be seriously a time coming of completely trusting in Him no matter what and making sure our armor is on daily. Demons see that armor even though we cannot.
WE serve a Warrior God (Yah) & He goes before us. What can man do to us when we have Him!!!

    5. you know the song where they sing "the train of his robe fills the temple" well that train is every battle he has won. Hasn't lost any yet and will never lose. :)
Never knew that was the meaning until I researched it.

    6. Isaiah 6King James Version (KJV)

6 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.

2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.

3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:

7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.

9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.

11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,

12 And the Lord have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.

  2. Thank you, Jeff, for this wonderful and most timely post. For any who have the least bit of doubt or question left, I wanted to confirm this is absolutely true by my own witness, as I have been led in the last 6 months to sell or trade off all of my firearms in exchange for useful provision, in order to come into compliance with these same truths you spoke of. I live in Alaska, & discovered people here will readily trade valuable items such as firewood for old guns. I was able to trade retail value for retail value that way, getting rid of them at a fair & agreeable price. Also, I wanted to thank you for being one of the only Christians alive today with the godly boldness & courage to list affiliation with other sites such as 'The True Story Of Revelation 12' as listed under "partner sites". Thank you for displaying a bold difference among the crowd of many posters! I have only recently discovered you, and I truly appreciate you! rick

Almost to the end of the direct word the Lord spoke."You shall overcome Satan by My blood, for I AM the Lamb and the word of your testimony for you do not love your life on this earth and are not afraid to give it up."
Sometimes when typing I cannot keep up because I am a very bad typist if the truth be known.

      Delete
    2. Okay. I looked at those both and they seem to be identical word for word. If you made a typo, I didn't notice. Anyway, I think the meaning came across either way.

This was a tough one for me a little. While I agree completely with the words Yeshua spoke, and don't want to go against the Holy Spirit in any way, I do struggle with a little bit of this (in my understanding). I have looked at many of the battles of the children of Israel in modern times. Those who fought against the Nazis lived and went on to have families and many went to the Land of Israel (see the movie Defiance). Also, the Jewish people living in Israel have had to fight or they would have been wiped out early on. Now I realize the God of Israel has absolutely protected them in the wars they have had to fight and that it is all part of His plan to get them back there. Another video series is "Against All Odds" telling some of the amazing stories of how God intervened in battles for Israel (modern time).

Another thing I've struggle with is the "thou shall not kill". I have learned that the Hebrew actually means "murder" not just kill. The idea is that God doesn't want us killing someone out of hatred, anger, jealousy, etc. He never seems to say don't kill if it would save a life. In fact, the Maccabees had to decide to even fight on the Sabbath because their enemies had slaughtered a whole group who would not. These are big deals. We have to obey all of God's Law, but sometimes an exception has to be made to save a life. I think preserving life is a huge thing to God.

These are just thoughts as I try to reconcile what your word says. I'm not doubting the veracity of it, but we are told to "test" these things.

I know there are plenty of people who would re-enact the Revolutionary war if the government goes too far. In that war, God had a plan to create this nation for purposes He had. Now, we are talking about God judging this Nation for all it's sin and the church for not following His ways. I don't think God would ever condemn a man for protecting his wife and children from those who would try to hurt them.

Keep in mind, God even told Israel through Moses to set up "cities of refuge" so that when someone killed a person by accident, they could flee to the city and live safely. It was understood that the family of the dead person would send an "avenger of blood" to get revenge. The avenger could not kill the suspect if he made it to the city of refuge. If he didn't go, he was fair game. God never said they should NOT kill this suspect. He said if you take man's life, your life would be taken.

I am not arguing with you or the Spirit of God, just trying to make this all make sense with the Word. If you have any thoughts, feel free to comment. Your brother, Gregg

    3. Dear Gregg- I too struggled with the ideas you are facing right now, trying to reconcile my understanding with the current Truth principles. In fact, at one time I was familiar with a false prophetic ministry that believed in taking up arms, and preached to do so, or else the Lord would turn his back on you if you turned out to be a coward, neglecting to defend your family and country in time of war. This is a hard mindset to shake off, for you are right that there is a history of violence in the bible.
Here lies the difference, that there is a big step between the old testament covenant & the new testament covenant. What the Lord allowed at one time, is now sin in another time. The Lord has been raising the bar also in the church in these end days, and what He allowed in churches under His mercy, He no longer is. The Lord is preparing us in this end day to qualify to enter heaven & live with Him. In short, He demands righteousness and holiness, without which no one may enter His presence. When at one time it was necessary for Israel to fight in the physical realm, it is now necessary for the church to fight in the spiritual realm. What was once sin to murder, is now sin to even think hateful thoughts- 'thoughts that kill' or words of hate & anger. We are under a far stricter protocol for holiness today. Without holiness, no one will see the face of God, or enter His presence, or heaven. I too grew up watching Gunsmoke & The Rifleman shows, but Matt 5:39 is a harder row to hoe when it says, 39 "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also." That's hard to do if you have a .44 in your belt or a 9mm stuck under your arm! Its 2 different mindsets. As the Word said above- "You must walk in the Spirit and fulfill the law of love by faith in Me and My word." You can't get into heaven without the Spirit of God, and the Spirit won't stay with you if you do not walk in holiness. Eternal life is the prize. rick

These past two weeks, I've been having multiple dreams where I've been arming myself with guns (such as handguns and assault rifles) and ammo, and shooting at (or intending to shoot at) enemy combatants.

...for a while there, I had thought that that was God urging me to purchase firearms to protect my house and loved ones.

  9. This is so needed. There are so many well-known Christians out there that have been advocating that it is our right according to our constitution. I've heard people say "what kind of man would not protect his family?" The problem seems to be that people have not seen where their citizenship really needs to be. Where do we draw the line when it comes to being able to fully trust in our God.I think we in this country equate our constitution on the same level sometimes as the scriptures. Jeff I loved the way you brought up the difference between what was expected in the old testament and what is expected of us now. This came 1 month after my friend and I who are in ministry together had the same conversation. I sent her this posting. As I look at what the scriptures in Rev.13:10,says "If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints." Our destinies are in Gods'hands. This scripture shows a total dependence and trust that is going to be expected by our heavenly Father. It is going to be a time for us in this nation to have to lay down those rights and fully surrendering our very lives to whatever is in front of us. There is too much pride and arrogance in our nation. This is going to be very difficult for some. As I told my friend, I would never dare use a gun on another human being who I would end up sending into eternity without Jesus. Thank you again Jeff.
